...With NATO’s failure in Rosersberg at OP Fenrir, Russian Forces have successfully established a supply depot. Since the establishment of the Rosersberg depot, Russian Forces have been able to ferry in more manpower to support operations in the region. Due to Russian Forces in Sweden being solely composed of airborne elements and land locked within Sweden, the supply depot represents a lifeline for Russian armored vehicles and troops in the region. Recognizing this, NATO has dispatched a task force from Arlanda in an attempt to cut off and seize the Russian depot. Russian Forces are continuing to stockpile airdropped and looted supplies in preparation for their Assault on Arlanda...
Game structure:
Nordic Milsim is creating an authentic simulation of a conflict in a fictional universe. The foundation of the game is in the detailed background story that you can find under the "Story" tab.
To mimic real military operations, each faction is led by a player with military experience. As a player, you will be placed in a platoon within your faction and expected to carry out the tasks required by the platoon. Communication and command structure are integral parts of the game, so by deviating from this, you WILL miss out on ammo and medic resupplies, mission information, and other significant parts of the experience.
To better simulate realism in military operations, we have implemented a new logisitcs system that play a vital role in this experience. An initial supply of ammo and ammo resupplies will be provided to all players. This will be at no additional cost to players, thanks to our new sponsorship with Velox Airsoft. All ammo provided will be .32g bbs and bringing in your own bbs is prohibited and will result in ejection from the game. If you wish to bring a different weight of BBs for a sniper, DMR, or other role, you must coordinate with staff and cadre at the event. Your bbs will then be held by cadre and issued to you in conjunction with resupplies for your faction. In addition to ammo, we are continuing to utilize our new medic system, which takes the form of 24CL plastic flasks of water. Squad medics and platoon medics will be issued medic water and resupplied throught the game.
Instead of using control points or similar mechanisms, primary and secondary objectives are based on cadre and player decisions that determine which areas are of strategic interest. Just like in real life, certain terrains or structures are important depending on the mission's objectives. Missions are dynamically assigned based on the game's progression, and each task has strategic importance for the overall game.
We do not count points; the focus is on the experience. Our goal is to create a true MILSIM event, not a simulation of a video game.
To distinguish between factions, we use uniform and weapon system limitations. We require players to customize their equipment to match the faction they represent.
Primary tasks and planning are assigned through each faction's OPORD (Operation Order), which is delivered via email to registered players along with a facebook group for your faction. These facebook groups are only relevant to the event they are named after.
