Milsim is the abbreviation for Military Simulation (military simulation) and is based on an action-type game based on armed conflicts. This is done by ordinary people from all parts of society for the purpose of entertainment, teamwork or historical re-creation. Even if it´s not only performed with Airsoft weapons or in physical Events, it has become a scene that has grown stronger and Milsim with Airsoft as a platform is found almost all over the world, where Sweden and Europe have become major players for Milsimevent. The pleasure for many is not just in the military part or shooting airsoft BB´s at each other. Instead, there are also several other things that Milsim gives its participants. Teamwork, tactics, outdoor life and of course meeting several other people to socialize with that you would otherwise not find.

What distinguishes Milsim games from more traditional Airsoft games is partly the time and environment in which they take place. Many Milsim events take place over a longer period of time, sometimes up to several days, and are also held in larger areas, where it is not uncommon for the playing field covers several thousand hectares.  The biggest difference, however, is how the games are designed in terms of game technology. Participants in Milsim events tend to seek an experience rather than the actual outcome of the game, win or lose. This means that organizers use several means to create as realistic of an experience, that Airsoft can offer, as possible. It can come through props, pyrotechnics and various missions that players must solve. Furthermore, there is more content of structures within the teams, leadership/staff, vehicles and also various weapon systems. Groups usually consist of different roles such as team leader, sniper or machine gunner.

The Milsim games are very different from organizer to organizer depending on what he wants to focus on and provide in the Airsoft experience. At Nordic Milsim, we have therefore created three different game types to make it beginner-friendly in our MiniMilsims, give a cooler experience but in a limited time frame in MiniMilsim +, and also do the best we can do on a large scale in our Milsim category. .
